Entrainment Yoga
*Stillness and Motion Unite*
Synchronizing our physical, pranic, mental, and blissful bodies to move in harmony and grace.
Monica has been named the U.S. ambassador for bringing ENTRAINMENT YOGA to the States.
Currently, she is the only person offering this practice in the US.
It is her mission and passion to spread the teachings to as many people as possible.
What is Entrainment Yoga?
Entrainment Yoga consists of seven highly intuitive flows, enhanced by unique music along with deep concentration. It’s practice is intended to awaken and balance each of the 7 major Chakras (energy centers) and heal our physical and subtle bodies. This amazing style of yoga combines postures (asana), breathwork (pranayama), energy circles (mudras), chanting (mantras), rhythm and energy awareness. Entrainment Yoga is a creation of Master teachers Shakti Mhi and Pepe Danza, by which they have transformed a traditional yoga practice into a powerful meditative dance.

The strong effects of each of the seven flows are felt immediately with elevation of energy in the body and a sensation of peace, tranquility, openness and lightness. The flows are exquisitely precise and meditative. Each movement synchronizes with a breath and together they form a pranic dance where stillness and motion unite. Practicing each flow with precision increases concentration and keeps the mind and body fully present.
*Classes are appropriate for all levels, although some familiarity with general Yoga asana is recommended.

Benefits of Entrainment Yoga include:
- Strengthen and tone your entire body
- Control and elongation of breath, improving concentration
- Advances coordination and expands respiration
- Enhances equilibrium of both sides of brain - requiring the practitioner to be both in the physical, flowing, feeling world (right side), as well as concentrating, counting/rhythm and prediction world (left side).
- Creates rhythmic awareness
- Lowers brain waves to Alpha, creating a state of relaxation and rejuvenation
- Exercises the mind for a healthy brain and the prevention of dementia and other cognitive deterioration.
- Rejuvenates the nervous and endocrine systems (resulting in anti-aging effects)
- Cleanses the body of toxins; enormous de-stressing components.
- Powerful chakra stimulation/balancing
- Energetic cleansing
- Opening of blockages allowing for deeper spiritual connection.

How does Entrainment Yoga Work?
It works through union: Union of breath, movement, frequency, emotion, voice, and energy.
Each of us has energy flowing throughout our body. In Yoga we call it prana, electromagnetic energy in Western science, and chi in Chinese medicine. There are many channels which prana/energy travels through and many centers for prana to be stored. The seven main centers are called Chakras. They are in exquisitely similar location to your major endocrine glands along the spine (endocrine glands also regulate energy in the body). Each Chakra has an optimal frequency which is affected by physical health, lifestyle, toxins, and unprocessed emotions.
Each unique Yoga flow powerfully stimulates one of your seven chakras, through the frequency of the music, specific yoga asana (postures), pranayama (breath work), and chanting all practiced in unison. This unison powerfully balances and entrains the chakras to their optimal frequency.

The Science: What is ‘Entrainment’?
Entrainment is the tendency for two oscillating bodies to join so they vibrate in harmony. It is also defined as the synchronization of two or more rhythmic cycles. In physics it is defined by Wikipedia as the process by which two interacting oscillating frequencies assume the same rate. The principle of entrainment is universal, appearing in chemistry, pharmacology, biology, medicine, psychology, sociology, astronomy, architecture and more. A classic example shows that when individually pulsing heart muscle cells are brought close together, they begin pulsing in synchrony. An identical phenomenon was realized by physicist Christopher Huygens when he noticed that when two or more independently ticking pendulum clocks were brought close together, they would synchronize with each other. In Entrainment yoga, as in brainwave entrainment, we practice entraining our nervous system to a desired optimal frequency.
Entrainment Yoga – Yoga for the Chakras, is a unique style that has no comparison in the world.
